Open every morning for top quality breakfast and brunch, where you can eat in or out on the sun-trap terrace, or enjoy Fair Trade tea or coffee while people watching. Free range eggs come from local farms along with expertly reared Cornish meats. Fresh fish from day boats are delivered every day.
Lunch offers homemade soup or 'Cullen Skink' as well as gourmet sandwiches, served with optional extras including hand cut chips. More substantial lunch time meals include delicious pasta, crisp salads, local sausages with silky mash, fish & chips and the towns favourite 'Cullen Burger'- homemade, 100% Cornish beef, served with hand cut chips and herb leaf salad.
The designer interior was delivered by design company Form and features contemporary furniture in a contemporary a mauve, cream and walnut colourway. Cutting edge local artworks feature with a set of paintings by local artist David Keech adding to the sophisticated feel. This look comes into its own in the evening when the atmospheric lighting and candles create the mood.
The bar offers top champagne and wines, cocktails and premium beers and spirits. There are guest beers such as Paulaner Hefeweiss and Leffe and the wine list offers five wines by the glass. The range extends from quality house wines from £11.95 to world famous Champagnes such as Veuve Clicquot Grande Dame, DP and Roederer Cristal.
The kitchen team have extensive experience in renowned kitchens and prepare everything to order, in house.
The menus are seasonal and the evening choice has something for everyone with modern British takes on classics like Steak and Chips, Rack of Lamb and Slow Roast Pork Belly. Sitting comfortably beside these are world influenced dishes such as Corn-Fed Chicken with Moroccan Spices and Cous-Cous, Paella and Smoked Aubergine and Tomato Risotto.
There are specials added to the menu every day, such as Cajun Spiced Tuna steak with Cherry Tomato Salsa and Honey, Lime and Yoghurt Dressing or Line Caught Sea Bass with Buttered Aasparagus and Roasted Garlic, Basil Alioli.
